Ever wondered what life is like in the Antarctic? Now you can be transported directly there, right in the heart of Barcelona. GIGA at Las Arenas shopping centre presents its Antarctica Experience, an immersive journey created with exclusive content by Luc Jaquet, Oscar-winning director of March of The Penguins (2005). This interactive exhibition invites visitors to experience the rare wonder of stepping onto the world’s most remote continent.
The installation merges emotion and knowledge, using immersive technology to blend cinematic storytelling with scientific exploration. Guests become explorers, following in the footsteps of polar adventurers. There, they’ll encounter Antarctica’s extraordinary wildlife, and feel the raw power of the elements.
Jaquet describes the experience as “half travel dream, half ode to nature, Antarctica Experience invites each visitor to feel the rare wonder of setting foot on the unreachable continent.”
