Aplec de la Trinitat Sitges 2026
By Charlotte Stace

Fancy getting out of the city this weekend for something a little different? Head to Sitges for the Aplec de la Trinitat - one of the town’s most atmospheric local traditions. It’s a gathering that brings residents up to the Ermita de la Trinitat for a mix of music and community spirit. Set against the Garraf landscape, it feels like a small pilgrimage with a very village-festival warmth to it.
Considered the first celebration of Sitges’ summer festive cycle, the aplec combines liturgical acts with popular culture and folklore. Whilst the programme of events includes religious ceremonies, it also brings music, dancing, sardanes, local groups and plenty of people making the most of the hilltop setting.
It’s simple, traditional and deeply rooted in community. For visitors, it’s the perfect chance to see a quieter, more local side of Sitges and explore some of the town’s local customs away from the beach crowds and into the rhythms of Catalan festive life
