Barcelona International Community Day 2026
By Charlotte Stace

Barcelona is a diverse and cosmopolitan city with a large international community. According to municipal records, over 36% of the city’s residents were born abroad, representing around 182 different nationalities. Barcelona International Community Day exists to make moving to the city and settling in easier and more sociable.
Now in its 13th edition, the annual gathering brings the city’s international community together to swap advice, make connections and discover the services that help turn new arrivals into locals. This year brings several activities covering everything from finding work and starting a business to settling into everyday life and building a social circle. Companies, schools, associations and city services will be on hand, alongside talks, workshops and plenty of opportunities to network.
There’s culture mixed in too, with live music, stand-up comedy, castellers, havaneras with burnt rum and even a Chinese dragon-and-lion procession.
