BioDiverCiutat comes to Barcelona for a new edition. Part of the City Nature Challenge, it’s an international event in which cities around the world compete to report as much urban biodiversity as possible in four days.

Organised by the Institute of Marine Sciences (ICM-CSIC), attendees are invited to look for wild fauna and flora present in the urban area. You might be wondering why? Well the data collected during BioDiverCiutat is saved in open format on the MINKA platform. It is then accessible to anyone for management and research purposes, which ultimately encourages collaboration and shared knowledge about biodiversity.

Who can take part? Whether you’re a researcher yourself or simply interested in nature, you can attend. Simply register for interest online and get prepared to spend four full days immersed in the city’s natural surroundings.
