Brit Under Fest arrives as a new addition to the city’s festival calendar with a very specific angle: contemporary British creativity. Poble Espanyol presents it as the first festival dedicated to new British trends in music and art, bringing together live bands, talks, visual culture, fashion and food.

The lineup pulls together artists from across the UK and Ireland, with bands including Bikini Body, Hungry, Silverbacks, Pynch, Cooper T and King No-One, tracing a route through places like Edinburgh, Dublin and Manchester. But music is only part of it: the programme also includes Irvine Welsh, author of Trainspotting, in conversation with the legendary graphic designer Neville Brody, as well as a photo exhibition from the British Culture Archive.

It’s an event for anyone interested in where British culture is heading now, with a multidisciplinary programme. Tickets start at 30 euros and the event runs across two full days.
