Caranaval in Sitges 2026
By Charlotte Stace

Sitges Carnaval 2026 is back. It’s a week where the town goes full glitter, full volume and fully commits to the art of dressing up and dancing in the streets until the early hours. It’s one of Catalunya’s most famous carnavals - celebrated here for over 100 years - and it’s best known for its outlandish energy, lavish floats, and lots of fun parties.
This year’s edition runs from 7th to 18th February, building toward the big “Rua” parades - the headline event where comparsas roll through the town centre. The main adult parades are on 15th February (19:30) and 17th February (21:00), with children’s parades earlier the same days at 12:00.
Both parades follow the same route, running from Avenida Sofía to Cap de la Vila - prime territory for soaking up the show as the floats and dancers stream past. The party comes to a close on Ash Wednesday with the Burial of King Carnestoltes.
