City and Science Biennial 2025
By Charlotte Stace

The 4th edition of the Biennal Ciutat i Ciència (City and Science Biennial) brings 130 activities across Barcelona, Madrid and Mexico inviting the public to engage with the quantum revolution - a field that has reshaped our understanding of the world since the early 20th century.
A diverse and dynamic science-culture event, it invites everyone to explore the frontiers of knowledge and our relationship with the world through research, innovation and public debate. There’ll workshops, debates, exhibitions and performances to spark curiosity, provoke thought and demystify science for all ages.
This edition coincides with the celebration of the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology. To that end, it turns its spotlight on quantum technologies: how they’ve reshaped society and the economy, and the possibilities they promise tomorrow. From computing and communication to sensing and the unseen world of quanta, the Biennal aims to make it accessible and relevant to everyday life.
