Clean-up of the Besòs River is a hands-on community activity for anyone who wants to do something useful for Barcelona’s natural spaces. The Besòs is one of the city’s key waterways, but like many urban rivers, it faces pressure from waste and pollution. This event invites people to help care for it directly.
You’ll join a collective clean-up along the river, removing rubbish while learning more about the kinds of waste that accumulate there and the impact they have on local ecosystems. The waste is also sorted and weighed by type, turning the clean-up into a clear reminder of the scale of the problem.
