Festa Major del Poble Sec brings the neighbourhood’s streets and squares to life with 1o days of music, food, fire, folklore and community chaos. Wedged between Paral·lel and Montjuïc, Poble Sec already has one of Barcelona’s best nighttime atmospheres, and during festa major, the whole barri turns up to party. 

The celebration brings concerts, DJ sets, children’s activities, sports, workshops, street culture and plenty of Catalan traditions, from gegants and castellers to correfocs and lots of dancing. Key gathering points include Plaça del Sortidor, Jardins de les Tres Xemeneies, Carrer de Blai, Avinguda del Paral·lel and Plaça de Santa Madrona.

Community also takes centre stage with public shared meals, including a paella, “sopar de brases” and “dinar comunitari”, alongside workshops, traditional dances like Espardenyu FolkFest, guided tours, sports and family events.
