Festa Major del Poblenou 2026

As the long Barcelona summer winds down, the city shifts from rooftop parties and music festivals to something far more local and deeply rooted: the festes majors. The Festa Major del Poblenou brings one of the city’s most characterful neighbourhoods into full celebration mode, with streets, squares and local associations filling one of our favourite barris with music, food, folklore and community life.
Running between the sea and the old industrial streets, Poblenou has a particular magic during festa major, and this year will be no different. The programme brings concerts, DJ sets, communal meals, workshops, children’s activities, street markets, theatre, sports and the usual festa major traditions. Expect gegants, castellers, sardanes, correfocs, firework displays and much more.
What makes it particularly special is the Poblenou blend of old and new. It’s village-like and beachy, giving it both a laidback summer mood and a proud local identity.
