Just when you thought the festa major season was over, l’Esquerra de l’Eixample celebrates its turn. It’ll be bringing the neighbourhood out onto the streets for a mix of music, food, folklore, and community. It’s not the flashiest festa major in town, but that’s part of its charm. Plaças, sports areas and corners of the barri become places to gather, dance and eat.

This year’s programme includes a special opening pregó with the Gegants de l’Esquerra de l’Eixample, the casteller group Els Esquerdats and traditional Cataan music from Soca-rel, plus havaneres, a Festa Major dinner and dance, children’s activities, workshops and neighbourhood tours. There is also a Festa de la Diversitat with LGTBIQ+ organisations, local crafts, shops and live music. 

This festival is as much about celebrating this barrio’s local identity and community ties as it is about fun - don’t miss it.
