Fiesta Junina "Edición de julio" is a Brazilian-style celebration taking place at Concillar Coworking (a co-work space for families in El Clot). Bringing Brazil to Barcelona, the event offers an authentic taste of Brazilian “Festa Junina” traditions.

Festa Junina is a Catholic tradition introduced to Brazil during the country’s colonisation. Its events are based on the European Midsummer festivities, which celebrate the harvest and the saints. Despite its religious origins, nowadays it’s all about a large social gathering of dancing, drinking and eating. To that end, there’ll be folkloric performances, food from various regions across Brazil, and a lot of music and dancing.

The idea behind this event is to allow Brazilians far from home to reconnect with their roots, and share this country’s rich culture with those who haven’t yet experienced it. If you’d like to get involved with El Clot’s local community, or simply discover more about Brazil’s rich heritage and cuisine, then this event is for you.
