The Centre d'Art Amatller brings us the immersive exhibition, Goya Universe. Between Light and Darkness. Delving into the life and work of Francisco de Goya, the exhibition explores his complex personality, talent, personal challenges and ambitions to become one of the most influential painters of his time.
Split across 11 rooms, the exhibition will feature period objects that offer insights into late 19th and early 20th century lifestyles. There will be a selection of installations and the use of advanced technologies (like video-mapping) that present Goya's self-portraits alongside those of his contemporaries, providing a deeper understanding of his artistic circle. These elements highlight the interplay of light and shadow in both Goya’s works and personal journey.
The exhibition culminates in immersive rooms and virtual reality experiences, allowing guests to engage with Goya's works through both visuals and music. This journey offers a profound connection to Goya's universe, blending art, history and technology in a unique format.
