Grec Festival 2025
By Charlotte Stace

The city’s biggest theatre, dance, music and circus festival - Grec Festival - is back for a new edition. The great thing about this festival is that it spotlights both local Catalan talent and introduces the city to performers from around the world.
This year’s programme will take place across 50 venues citywide, transforming Barcelona into a buzzing stage for contemporary performance. From intimate shows to large-scale spectacles, the lineup offers something for every taste and all the family.
This year’s highlights include: Waterloo by Albena Teatre, Humanhood by Vortex, Sardana Superstar by Arnau Tordera, Les Artists del Circ, and Decadencia by Steven Berkoff. On top of these, the festival brings us Young Grec, which aims to engage with a youth audience, ultimately drawing in new generations interested in the performing arts for years to come. Full programme can be found on the event’s website.
