I Hate Models

Paris-based DJ and producer I Hate Models makes a beeline for Barcelona on Friday, booting the weekend off with his hard-edged dosage of techno. He cuts a familiar figure in Barcelona’s clubbing corners, with local techno crew HEX being the first to bring him to the city and most recently, he landed on a Brunch Weekender lineup alongside headliner Nina Kraviz.
Earning a coveted spot in Mixmag’s Top 15 Breakthrough DJs of the year due to his career stepping up a notch with more bookings and his debut LP on seminal label Perc Trax, he’s sure to be a major source of temptation for techno heads who want it hard and industrial. Spaniard Joton joins the lineup with a sound that’s also synonymous with dark techno, with promoters from London, Paris, Vienna, Moscow, Tokyo and Buenos Aires all lining up to get him booked. Venerated resident Hitch completes the bill.
