The National Ballet of Cuba brings its version of Don Quixote to the city this month. Inspired by Cervantes’ masterpiece of Spanish literature, Don Quixote tells the story of what happens to an ageing knight who has been misled by the many romances he has read. He sets out on his old horse to seek adventure with his squire, Sancho Panza.

Premiering in 1988, under the artistic and choreographic direction of Alicia Alonso, this performance is a favourite among ballet lovers the world over.

The National Ballet of Cuba is one of the most prestigious dance companies in the world and occupies a prominent place in contemporary Latin American culture. It was founded in 1948 by Prima Ballerina Soluta Alicia Alonso. Don’t miss them performing this classic ballet live on stage once more.
