Ohlalà French Film Festival 2025
By Charlotte Stace

Ohlalà! is Barcelona’s number one festival entirely devoted to francophone cinema, celebrating French-language films from across the Francophonie: France, Quebec, Belgium, Africa, and more. Established in 2018, it brings together recent, internationally acclaimed films (often previously premiered at festivals like Cannes) for our enjoyment.
The 2025 line-up features a selection of five films: Partir un jour, an exploration of identity; Little Jaffna, rooted in themes of diaspora and belonging; L’Étranger, a contemporary existentialist reimagining; Vie privée, a look at intimacy and secrecy and starring Jodie Foster; and La torre de hielo, a visually striking film featuring Marion Cotillard.
Each edition awards prizes based on three perspectives: a professional jury, a young jury (18-25 year-olds), and a public vote. Above all, Ohlalà! pays tribute to the diversity of perspectives on the world that French-speaking cinema brings us. Films will be subtitled in Spanish and Catalan.
