Poblenou Open Day is one of the best ways to experience Barcelona’s creative side. For one day, over 40 venues across the district open their doors with a programme of exhibitions, design, photography, dance, live music, DJs, talks, workshops, guided tours and food, all designed to show off why Poblenou has become known as the city’s creative district.

This year’s programme includes free entry to Disseny Hub Barcelona and its exhibitions, the opening of Blanca Haddad’s “Esfinges” at La Plataforma with DJs and a poetic performance, niceaunties’ “Auntiescapes” at Load Gallery, a printing workshop with recycled materials and guided visits at Museu Terra, plus an Aerial Dance Jam at Onair Barcelona.

It feels like a neighbourhood-wide crawl through galleries, studios, museums and creative spaces. Visit the Poblenou Urban District website to check out their map and sort through the locations by type. The event runs all day, with bars opening well into the night to continue the neighbourhood experience.
