Silvia Gubern: Splendor, Back to the Origin

Silvia Gubern Garriga-Nogués (Barcelona, 1941) - artist, poet and energy healer - returns to her native city after three decades with Splendour. Back to the Origin, an exhibition that traces a lifetime devoted to experimentation and spiritual inquiry within Catalunya’s avant-garde art scene.
This exhibition, featuring a hundred works by the artist, invites us to learn about her creative journey from a primordial vocation: a path of openness to the development of personal, planetary and spiritual awareness. Freed up by fate from the burdens of daily work, Gubern does not look back, but rather allows herself to ‘return to the origin’, i.e., to reflect on how the eternal present redraws and recreates the communion between all things.
With characteristic intuition, she distils the wisdom of a life lived through art. Her practice resembles that of an alchemist: transforming base materials into something luminous, revealing what she regards as her greatest inheritance - the sacred unity of art, spirit, and existence itself.
