Barcelona’s long summer nights are made for exploring, and this after-hours wander through Casa Amatller adds a little Modernista magic to those evenings. Its Summer Nights series invites you beyond the famous façade and into its world of stained glass, carved wood, patterned tiles and extravagant details.

Built at the turn of the 20th century by the Catalan architect Josep Puig i Cadafalch, the building rivalled some of Antoni Gaudi’s creations. It was built to house the Amatller family who ran one of the most important chocolate businesses in Europe at the time. The house is now a museum and features a cafe where Amatller chocolate can be bought.

With an audio guide leading the way, you can explore the former home of the Amatller family at your own pace. The evening ends with a glass of cava in one of the city’s most unique settings.
