Vive mexico 2024
By Charlotte Stace
Celebrating all things Mexican, Barcelona Vive Mexico returns to Poble Espanyol for its annual edition.
Bringing live mariachi music, tequila, tacos, lucha libre wrestling, Mexican dancing and just about everything else Mexican themed, this is the most unique celebration of Mexican culture in Barcelona. And the festival isn’t unique to Barcelona - it’s celebrated by Mexicans around the world. Why? It’s known as El Grito de Dolores - The Cry for Independence.
For two full days, there’ll be a whole host of Mexican-inspired activities on offer, such as tequila and mezcal tastings, piñata hitting competitions, lucha libre wrestling contests, live bolero and ranchera concerts, and over 30 food stands selling Mexican gastronomic delicacies. If you’re interested in attending, check out the full programme online and make sure to book tickets.
