The wonderful thing about Christmas in Barcelona is the amount of Christmas markets held across the city during December!

The Christmas Market at the Sagrada Familia has been held opposite Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia since the early 1960s. There you’ll find around a hundred stalls selling a wide variety of figures and elements for nativity scenes, Christmas trees and plants, gifts and food. There will also be a number of churros stalls, as well as chestnuts and sweet potatoes on sale for a traditional treat while you shop. In addition, there are some free family activities organized such as contests, workshops, music and theater.

You’ll also have a photo opportunity with a giant “Tió” and “Caganer”.If you’re looking for a truly unique gift this year for friends and family, then head over to the Sagrada Famila and see what’s in store. The market will be open from 10am-9pm on weekdays and 10am-10pm on weekends.
