Extreme Barcelona 2025
By Charlotte Stace

This year’s sporting calendar has been packed with global sporting events like the UEFA Women's Euros and Wimbledon, but urban sports continue to carve out their own cultural space. Barcelona, already recognised as Europe’s skateboarding capital, is once again the perfect stage for Extreme Barcelona, a festival that celebrates the energy and creativity of extreme sports.
Fans can expect top-level contests in skateboarding, BMX, scootering, breaking, and 3x3 basketball, featuring both international stars and the next wave of emerging talent. Alongside elite competition, the festival doubles as an urban culture hub, complete with food trucks, a market, open skate parks and interactive zones where you can try out the sports for yourself.
Beyond the action, Extreme Barcelona is committed to inspiring the city’s youth. In collaboration with the Barcelona City Council, the festival has already engaged more than 3000 young people through workshops and demos introducing skateboarding and scootering.
