Father Christmas Fun Run
By Charlotte Stace

The Cursa Papa Noel is one of Barcelona’s most festive and fun annual runs, where hundreds of participants don Santa and elf costumes and take to a cheerful urban 5km route together. It’s less about serious racing and more about celebrating the season. You can walk, jog or run alongside friends, family and fellow runners in a crowd that brings a big dose of Christmas spirit to the streets.
Organised by La Sansi with support from local groups, the event invites adults and children alike to join the action, with younger runners accompanied by adults throughout. Everyone who signs up for the run gets a full Santa or elf kit to wear, turning the course into a sea of red, white and festive cheer as you go. It’s a wonderful way to kick off the festive break and enjoy some energetic outdoor fun.
