The Museu d'Història de Catalunya presents On the Run: Refugees, an exhibition that looks at the global crisis of forced displacement. Highlighting the experiences of individuals fleeing war, persecution, violence and climate change, it draws parallels between historical and contemporary refugee movements.
Through a combination of personal narratives, historical artifacts and arts installations, the exhibition offers an immersive journey into the lived experiences of refugees. Not only does it shed light on the challenges they face, such as long journeys and the reception - ranging from compassion to hostility - they encounter upon arrival, it serves as a reminder of the human stories behind the statistics.
