Sagrada Família Free Entry for La Mercè
By Charlotte Stace

The Sagrada Família will once again open its doors to the public during the city’s La Mercè festivities. For several days across the stretch of this cultural festival, the landmark will welcome visitors in the late afternoon, showcasing both its architectural beauty and the latest progress in the ongoing works that continue Gaudí’s vision.
As part of the experience, you’ll be able to explore some of the most iconic spaces of the basilica while discovering new artistic elements. A highlight this year is the unveiling of a three-metre-high stone relief of the Wedding at Cana, an important biblical scene that will be installed in the Chapel of the Assumption. The scenes of the Presentation of Mary in the Temple, the Death of Saint Joseph and the Dormition will also be installed in the coming months.
