Wine Fair Sitges

Festa de la Verema i Mostra de Vins is Sitges’ great autumn toast to wine, harvest and local tradition. With more than 60 years of history behind it, the festival celebrates the town’s viticultural past, especially its beloved Malvasia de Sitges, the local grape that has become one of the town’s proudest symbols.
The weekend mixes wine culture with Sitges rituals, from the opening pregó, the pressing of the first must, the grape-treading competition and the weighing of the Pubilla and Hereu in bottles of wine. The wine fair itself brings together wineries from the Garraf and DO Penedès, with wines, cavas and malvasies to taste in a beautiful setting by the waterfront.
For wine lovers, it’s an easy day trip from Barcelona: a chance to leave the city, taste local bottles by the sea and make an autumn visit to Sitges feel a little more special.
