MNAC welcomes the exhibition Zurbarán (super)natural. Organised in collaboration with the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Lyon and the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, it explores the work of the Spanish Baroque master, Francisco de Zurbarán, best known for his ability to transcend realism and coney a deep sense of spirituality through his work.

A major highlight of the exhibition is the reunion of the three versions of Saint Francis of Assisi according to Pope Nicholas V's Vision, which demonstrate the artist’s skill in capturing mysticism and devotion. It also presents his still lifes, religious compositions and depictions of monks and saints.

Beyond its artistic significance, the exhibition invites viewers to consider how the painter transformed everyday subjects into deeply spiritual experiences, and highlights Zurbarán’s influence on later artists and his legacy in the development of Spanish and European painting.
