Barcelona will once again be marking the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women this year. Known as 25N (being held on November 25th annually), the event sets out to draw attention to the different types of violence experienced by women in public spaces, and raise awareness of support services for women in the city.
The aim is to encourage the city's inhabitants to unite against any form of gender violence. The people of Barcelona want their streets to be safe spaces where women can walk freely without harassment or harm. Whether it’s catcalls to vulgar remarks, groping on crowded public transport or assault in night-life spaces, join the city’s 25N community to help put a stop to this once and for all.
To mark the day, there’ll be a series of activities, talks and workshops for anyone interested to participate in.
