As part of the CCCB’s ‘AI: Artificial Intelligence, The other AI revolutions’ series, Mercedes Bunz, researcher in the fields of digital culture, and the photographer Joan Fontcuberta come to speak with Alex Saum about artificial intelligence and artistic creation.

Creativity is mutating. Now we have not only digital editing instruments like Photoshop and Word and tools of circulation like Amazon, social networks, and web pages, but we also have creative devices such as Dall-E, Midjourney, and GPT. How do they affect the arts and contemporary narratives?

Bunz and Fontcuberta are experts on the impact of AI in the realm of creation and will explore the issues when answering this question. The discussion will be led by Alex Saum, poet and associate professor of Contemporary Spanish Literature and New Media at the University of California, Berkeley.
