A revolution of ideas
By Charlotte Stace
The CCCB hosts the philosopher of technology Yuk Hui and the writer Jorge Carrión, who come to discuss new ways of understanding artificial intelligence.
Contemporary philosophy is faced with the dilemma of how AI fits into a context of technologies that are already a reality (such as social networks, and the Internet of Things), and those technologies that may be a part of our reality in the near future (take, for example, quantum computing).
In seeking to understand the transformations being brought about by AI and how philosophy might interpret them, the writer Jorge Carrión will speak with the Hong Kong-born thinker, computer engineer, and one of today’s most influential philosophers of technology, Yuk Hui. This talk is part of the CCCB’s ‘AI: Artificial Intelligence, The other AI revolutions’ series. Attendance costs 3 Euros.
