Alberto Burguez & The Flying Roots
By Charlotte Stace
Get your fill of jazz this weekend with Alberto Burguez & The Flying Roots as they come to Jamboree. Together, the band consists of Burguez on piano and vocals, Samuel Marthe on trombone, Hernán Fridman on bass, and Oscar Hita on drums.
The quartet draws inspiration from the roots of African-American music, specifically the style that emerged in New Orleans from the 1950s onward. With a repertoire of classics and original compositions, the group successfully blends the rhythmic power of groove with the strength of blues, the delicacy of swing, and songs that tell unique stories. The result is a unique proposal, a group that reaches new spaces with vibrant and original music.
Tickets start at 11 Euros. Doors open at 7pm.
