Algodonera Market Lab
By Aimee Lawrence
A new edition of the Algodonera Market Lab arrives just in time for Christmas, transforming the terrace of the five-star Cotton House Hotel into a space where the latest trends of the city in textiles, flavors and design meet once a month.
The market’s name pays homage to the building’s past: the hotel stands on the site of the historic headquarters of the Fundación Textil Algodonera (Cotton Textile Foundation). Running for a fourth consecutive year, the event features live music, entertainment and the cuisine of chef Eva de Gil, who is responsible for the hotel’s Batuar restaurant.
Visitors can sample dishes created from quality products with creative flavors, and for those who come to this unique space in Barcelona ready to spend, they’ll find fashion accessories, home textiles and jewelry – all of which embodies the spirit of handmade work, a craving for detail and creativity.
