Antichurros w/ Joshua James
By Kit Macdonald
Following Rex The Dog's appearance last month, Antichurros - the (relatively) "serious dance music" corner of the long-running queer night Churros Con Chocolate, welcomes Joshua James, who has been at the centre of London's queer clubbing scene for around 15 years. A stalwart of Erol Alkan's Phantasy Sound label, James released the outlandishly risque single Fist in 2022, which samples a deeply salacious and elongated monologue from his personal hero and queer icon Leigh Bowery, and was remixed by a true icon of the scene in Peaches. James's set starts at 11pm in LA2.
Upstairs from 5pm will be the Churros Con Chocolate Eurovision Special. A yearly engagement known as the best yearly Eurovision party in Barcelona, this year's shindig will feature all manner of Eurovision tunes old and new plus a live set from WRS, aka Andrei Ursu. Ursu will be performing his song Call Me, which was Romania's entry for Eurovision 2022.
