Artificial Intelligence
By Charlotte Stace
The CCCB welcomes an exhibition on the history, functioning, creative possibilities, and the ethical and legislative challenges of artificial intelligence today.
Never before has a technology grown at such a rate and made its way so directly into our lives. While AI is a worry, it is also very interesting. It poses a threat, but also creates opportunities. In the context of public conversation and collective dependence on AI, this new exhibition suggests that we pause, try to understand this technology and start a debate about its development for the coming years.
The exhibition also looks at the role of artificial intelligence in everyday life, the opportunities it presents for scientific and biomedical research, the role of supercomputing as a major driving force, the present legislative situation, the risks of misinformation posed by its widespread use, and the racial and gender biases it can generate.
