BCN gallery weekend
By Charlotte Stace
As summer draws to a close, temperatures cool down, people retreat inwards from the city’s sprawling beaches and turn their attention more to soaking up some of the city’s diverse culture. Enter: Barcelona Gallery Weekend.
A project set up by Art Barcelona, it is an annual four-day event that is open to all the contemporary and modern art galleries in the city and its outskirts. Ultimately, the event aims to shine a light on the rich and diverse artistic scene in the city, promote art collecting and highlight the work of the galleries, as culture generating spaces open to citizens, and the artists they represent.
This year, some of the galleries involved include: Ana Mas Projects, Galeria Marc Domenech, House of Chappaz, Pigment Gallery, Mayoral, Prats Nogueras Blanchard, and Zielinksy. If you’re interested in the art scene, this is one weekend not to miss.
