Grab your dancing shoes and get ready to dance this month away. Across three dance-packed days, the Barcelona Shag Festival returns with a fun new edition.

The shag is a type of swing dance that originated during the early 1930s in America. A fast-paced, social dance, it’s remained popular amongst fans of old school swing styles for decades. The Barcelona Shag Festival is the only dedicated event to shag dancing across Europe. So, it’s not surprising that it attracts hundreds of keen dancers from all over. 

Across the duration of the festival, there’ll be contests, workshops and classes (for beginners through to professionals), as well as parties, vermouth evenings, quizzes and much more. Whether you’re a shag dancing aficionado, or simply someone with a keen interest to take up a new hobby, everyone is welcome.
