The Buddhist Film Festival of Catalonia returns for a new edition. Showcasing Buddhism's core values - non-violence, environmental respect and interconnectedness - it was launched in 2022. This festival offers a diverse lineup of contemporary films and documentaries addressing current global issues through a Buddhist lens.

Highlights this year include: The Monk and The Gun (2023), On the Road (2012), Pig at the Crossing (2023), and Samsara (2023). The program also includes director presentations, interviews and panel discussions, available both in-person and online.

Attendees can also join parallel activities such as meditation sessions, children’s workshops and open days at Buddhist centres around the city. Committed to sustainability, the festival aims to reduce its ecological footprint by using recyclable materials and also seeks to promote gender equality, ensuring a balanced selection of films. Don’t miss this opportunity to explore Buddhist teachings and engage with the community.
