Whether you’re looking for something unique to do with friends, or the perfect idea for a first date, we’re pretty sure dinner under the stars (quite literally) at Barcelona’s Fabra Observatory, won’t disappoint.

Built in 1904, it belongs to the Royal Academy of Science and Arts of Barcelona and has one job: to study nearby asteroids and comets. While the view above is impressive, it’s also one of the best spots in the city to see the city itself. It sits high up on the Collserola mountains, just below Tibidabo.

Now you can enjoy the views with special gastronomic evenings held at the observatory over the coming months. There will be a menu specifically designed for the occasion, as well as a 30 minute scientific dissemination conference which will reveal the mysteries of the universe. As well, you’ll be invited to enter the observatory’s large dome and be able to take a look at distant constellations through the telescope.
