The International Festival of Sustainable Art of Catalonia celebrates its 25th edition with a very special program, including pioneers of sustainable contemporary art and leading figures of original urban art, as well as a large selection of emerging artists and their projects.
From November 18th to December 21st, the center of Barcelona will be flooded with exhibitions and art installations of diverse artists and pioneers of environmental art such as HA Schult and Michelangelo Pistoletto; outstanding contemporary artists from Catalonia like Bigas Luna, Rafael Bartolozzi and Francesco Volsi; old masters of Urban Art such as SheOne and Shadowman (Richard Hambleton); and representatives of the local and international current Urban Art scene, like Jorge Rodríguez-Gerada and Alberto de Blobs.
There will be a cultural tour through the Gothic quarter, with exhibitions showcasing the infinite possibilities of creative recycling and the use of objets trouvés to reflect the relation between sustainability and art.
