The Giuseppe Campisi Quartet come to Barcelona’s Milano jazz club this Thursday 25th November.

The experience of playing jazz and improvised music in a format like the quartet is exciting and demanding: the nature of a small ensemble puts the focus on interaction, on understanding the ideas of others, on the search for a common address. With this idea in mind, during the last year the Italian double bass player Giuseppe Campisi has been writing new music. This will be performed by an exceptional group of which some of the most outstanding musicians of the jazz scene of the peninsula are part: Santi de la Rubia on tenor sax, Jaume Llombart on guitar and Roger Gutiérrez on drums.

This encounter results in a vibrant repertoire of original music and arrangements, which is the starting point for the group to express their creativity and take the music to new and unpredictable places.
