The city’s biggest theatre, dance, music and circus festival - Grec Festival - is back for a new edition. While the festival spotlights local Catalan collectives and talent, it also aims to introduce Barcelona to a range of performers from around the world.
To that end, you can expect to see a wide range of concerts across summer at 50 different locations around the city. This year, the festival’s inauguration will take place at the emblematic Teatre Grec with a performance from the Catalan singer Sílvia Pérez Cruz.
As usual the festival is split into two parts - Grec Festival and Grec Ciutat. This year’s highlights across each include: Billy’s Joy by Needcompany, Las Pas Grand Chose by Johann Le Guillerm, Carema by La Corcoles, Macho Grita by Alberto San Juan, Malamort by Daniela Feixas, and Beyond the Skin by Serge Attukwei Clottey.
