HalliGalli Quartet
By Charlotte Stace
Catalan group HalliGalli comes to perform live at Jamboree Jazz Club. Consisting of Èlia Bastida (violin, tenor sax, and voice) Christoph Mallinger (violin, voice, and percussions), Carla Motis (guitar), Marta Roma (cello and voice) this promises to be a lively performance for all to enjoy.
HalliGalli - which translates to "lively party" - is a quartet of multi-instrumentalists that turn into something of a small orchestra when performing live. They are adept at exciting and entertaining the audience with their musical compositions, which often include humorous touches.
After participating in the Voll Damm Jazz Festival series at the Palau Robert, they now present their first album, Live in Barcelona, in which they review, with their musical joie de vivre, an eclectic repertoire inspired by swing with theatrical and humorous ingredients. Get your tickets now.
