Incorruptible
By Charlotte Stace
La Tinta Roja welcomes ‘Incorruptible: A Dark Comedy About the Dark Ages’, a play that delves into the complexities of medieval life with a humorous twist.
Set in a French monastery during the 13th century, it follows a group of monks facing financial ruin due to a decline in the sale of holy relics. In a desperate bid to sustain their monastery, they resort to manufacturing counterfeit relics by digging up and selling the bones of deceased villagers.
Written by Michael Hollinger, the play is renowned for its sharp wit and satirical look at morality, faith and the lengths to which individuals will go to preserve their way of life. Through clever, comedic dialogue, it offers a reflection on human nature and the ethical dilemmas faced when survival is at stake.
The play stars Mara Ambrosie, Patrick Beverley, Kurtis Bright, Bünyamin Cicek, Alex Jacob, Matthew Murtha, Victoria Russell and Alice Russo. Tickets cost 10 Euros.
