La Setmana de les Terrasses

Over the last five years, the Barcelona hotel rooftop bar concept has taken flight with many of the city’s hotels permanently opening their rooftops to the public.
The sales manager of the Duquesa de Cardona – the palace of the first Duchess of Cardona four centuries ago – says they first opened their terrace to the public as a way to increase sales, and today many local clients regularly frequent their rooftop to enjoy the views of the port and Maremagnum while enjoying lunch or a refreshing gin & tonic. La Isabela, the exquisite rooftop terrace at H1898, tops the sales manager’s list of the best hotel rooftop views in Barcelona – that is, other than the view from La Duquesa de Cardona.
This month marks the opening of La Setmana de les Terrasses (Terrace Week) where almost sixty of Barcelona’s rooftop bars will welcome the public to relish their stunning views.
