FotoNostrum presents Lee Miller: Chronicles of War, an exhibition celebrating one of the most fascinating photographers of the 20th century. Featuring 124 photographs, it traces Miller’s extraordinary career, from her early work in fashion photography to her groundbreaking role as a war correspondent.

As an accredited U.S. Army correspondent in World War II, Miller photographed key moments of the conflict, including the D-Day aftermath, the Liberation of Paris, the concentration camps of Buchenwald and Dachau, and the destruction across Europe. Her images reveal the stark realities of war and offer a deeply human perspective on its horrors and consequences.

Included are iconic images depicted in the film Lee, starring Kate Winslet. The film explores Miller’s wartime experiences and emphasises her resilience in a male-dominated field. The connection between the exhibition and film provides audiences with a unique opportunity to explore both the history and cultural impact of this iconic figure.
