Hailing from A Coruña, the Galician band Luar Na Lubre come to perform live at Paral·lel 62. Formed in 1986, they made it their goal to make music that helped to develop and spread Galician music and culture around Spain and the rest of the world.

Founded in traditional music, they’ve toured all over the world from the UK to Canada, Germany to Argentina. And to show just how many people they’ve reached, in 1996 Mike Oldfield included a cover of their song O son do ar (The sound of air) on his Voyager album.

Their music is dreamlike, full of life and soul, and well designed to ensure a long collective reach that transcends borders. They now embark on a new tour to promote music from their latest project, the album XX – Encrucillada (2023). So, if you’d like to soak up some of the sounds of true Galician music, then head on over to see them live in action. Tickets on sale now.
