The International Barcelona Flamenco Ballet Company premieres its new show LUXURÎA under the direction of David Gutiérrez this coming July 17th at Sala Barts. The company has established itself as one of the world's leading dance companies, presenting us with its third show from its own avant-garde and pioneering label.
LUXURÎA aims to transport the audience to a world of luxury and glamor. The performance follows a successful artist who meets the love of his life. Yet, lust ends up becoming his worst enemy, separating him from his true love and forcing him to enter a dark world of madness, ambition and loneliness.
Within the framework of modern flamenco, LUXURÎA presents a groundbreaking and versatile show that combines both traditional and innovative flamenco at the same time. Contemporary, modern, Spanish and flamenco dance merge into classical, jazz and flamenco music, forming a stage with a large cast of established artists from all over Spain.
