British musician Mansur Brown comes to perform live at Sala La Nau. The Brixton-based multi-talented, multi-instrumentalist is something of a prodigy. He’s a classically trained guitarist, curator, and artist whose music balances virtuosic precision with deft expressions of emotion.

Always a fan of taking an experimental approach to making music, he finds himself mixing the intricate flamenco-influenced guitar playing with his own original production work, informed by Timbaland's rhythmic snap of early 2000s swing of Afrobeats and the melancholic sound design of Burial. While the guitar remains the centre of Mansur's music, it is by no means the only component. He mixes up the keyboards, flute, saxophone, and even his voice, changing pitch and tone for each song.

After releasing his debut album Shiroi in 2018 to critical acclaim, he came back in 2021 with the outstanding Heiwa. His latest release Desta - The Memories Between (2023) promises not to disappoint. Don’t miss him live.
