Maria coma
By Charlotte Stace

Based between Catalunya and Mallora, the singer, composer, pianist and researcher, Maria Coma, is coming to El Raval’s unique venue El Molino this month. Since 2016, she has called Berlin home, where she has expanded her musical repertoire through experimental and traditional vocal techniques, somatic movement and dance. She’s also had the chance to collaborate with notable artists like Naïma Mazic, Stegreif Orchestra and Yotam Peled. Now with five albums and over 500 performances across Europe and South America, the singer has become a prominent figure in the European contemporary music scene.
With her 2023 album, Vocal Roots, she creates an immersive universe that blends original music, vocal polyphony, sound art and performance. Coming to Barcelona to present this new music, she’ll be accompanied by Maider Lasa and Elena Tarrats. The concert will feature a mix of piano, voice, pedals, samplers and vocal polyphony, offering an intimate and unique experience. Tickets on sale now.
